Our experienced team specializes in lease negotiation, royalty payment disputes, quiet title suits, and a wide range of business litigation matters within the energy sector. With a deep understanding of the industry’s intricacies, we are dedicated to providing expert guidance and strategic solutions that safeguard your interests and promote your success in this dynamic legal landscape.

Oil & Gas Litigation

Oil and gas litigation services encompass a specialized legal field focused on resolving disputes within the energy sector when negotiations are unsuccessful. Our Attorneys handle complex cases related to drilling, exploration, production, and surface, mineral title and contractual issues.

Lease Acquisition

Lease acquisition services involve a specialized area of legal practice that focuses on facilitating and navigating the acquisition of land and mineral rights for oil and gas exploration and production. Attorneys at Brady Smith Law assist clients in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing Purchase and Sale agreements in conjunction with buying or selling mineral or royalty rights, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and protecting the client’s interests throughout the lease acquisition process.

Contracts

A critical aspect of legal practice is aimed at creating and evaluating contracts and agreements between parties. Our attorneys create contracts tailored to their client’s needs, ensuring clarity, enforceability, and compliance with relevant laws. Through thorough review and analysis, attorneys at Brady Smith Law provide comprehensive guidance to identify potential risks, rights, and obligations, enabling clients to make informed decisions while maintaining secure and mutually beneficial business relationships.

Quiet Title Suits

Quiet title suits are sometimes necessary to resolve disputes over ownership of real property, both surface rights and mineral rights. Often, oil and gas companies may require a quiet title suit or some other action to resolve uncertainty in ownership before paying a client oil and gas royalties they rightfully own.  Our Attorneys assist clients in filing legal actions known as quiet title suits to establish clear and marketable title to a property by eliminating competing claims, clouds on title, or uncertainties.

Royalty Payment Disputes

Royalty payment dispute services focus on addressing conflicts between mineral and royalty owners and Oil and Gas Companies. These disputes range from non-payment, late payments or incorrect royalty payments. We work hard to make sure you get what you are owed. Our attorneys are particularly skilled in this field, and have filed and successfully resolved multiple class actions related to royalty payment issues.

Business Litigation

Business litigation services encompass a broad range of issues, disputes and conflicts that arise within the business world. Our Attorneys represent clients in a wide range of matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disagreements and more.

Lease Negotiation

Negotiation of oil and gas mineral leases is important but often overlooked by mineral and royalty owners. This is the first step and foundation of the agreement between you and the Oil and Gas Company that will affect your rights and how much you are paid throughout the life of the lease, which can be dozens of years. Our Attorneys work closely with mineral and royalty owners to assess their needs, protect their rights, and advocate for advantageous terms in oil and gas mineral leasing scenarios.
